FACEBOOK LIVE FINALLY RELEASES APP TO THE REST OF US IN THE U.S.
Well, they finally did it. Facebook live is in the hands of the non-celebrities and I think it’s about to change media and social media around again.
I’ve been waiting for the ability for affordable broadcast application online since the late 90s, but the first dot.com was just the groundwork an internet in 2016 that works well with media content and streaming in general.
We (social media geeks) saw it coming since the live stream explosion last spring (2015) with meerkat and periscope…it was a matter of time that Facebook jump into the game.
Facebook Live will create multi-millionaires on its platform – giving opportunities to entrepreneurs with a good idea the ability to reach the masses – a 24/7 broadcast platform for anyone that has something to say or show and tell.
These creative people will be able to produce their own facebook live shows from selling products to creating a following as a social media personality to endorsing events, restaurants and merchandise. Good bye printed reviews (Yelp & Google) – it is live media that will take over.
Small business owners that jump on it right away will be ahead of the game, the rest of them if they don’t see the opportunity in it – well, most of them just don’t get it. They will forever be looking at the glass half empty
It is a very exciting time for all of us that acknowledge the power of video, personal media and live streaming.
